Meet Your Team: A Conversation with Ellie Blakey

June 25, 2025

As we continue our Q&A series highlighting the incredible support staff at Trinity Wealth Management, we’re excited to feature Ellie Blakey, our Marketing Manager. Ellie started with us in 2020 as an intern and has grown into a role that touches nearly every part of our communications, outreach, and events. In this edition of “Meet Your Team,” she shares what her day-to-day looks like, the challenges she has embraced, and what this season of life means to her both at work and at home.

Q: What does a typical day look like for you?

Ellie: Every day is a little different and that’s part of what I love. I handle everything from content creation and social media to coordinating events, overseeing website updates, and helping shape our communications strategy. I also partner closely with the advisors to bring their expertise to life through blogs and financial education classes.

Q: What’s been the most challenging part of your role — and how have you handled it?

Ellie: The hardest part has probably been not having a background in financial services. I went to school for marketing, so the creative and logistical parts of my job come naturally. Things like planning events, managing classes, and handling outreach all feel smooth. But some of the financial content can be tricky. It’s a complex industry with a lot of nuance, and I’m still building that knowledge. I’ve been lucky to work closely with our advisors, and they’re always willing to help when I need clarification or direction. I’ve already learned a ton just by being part of the conversations, and I know that will only continue to grow.

Q: How has Trinity changed since you first joined?

Ellie: I started as an operations intern in 2020, right in the middle of COVID, so everything was remote. Since then, we’ve grown a lot. We’ve added new team members, moved into a bigger office, and built out departments like marketing that didn’t really exist before. It’s been rewarding to see how far we’ve come and to be part of that growth from the inside.

Q: What do you think sets Trinity apart from other firms?

Ellie: I think it comes down to how much we genuinely care. We’re a family business, and that shows in the way we work together and support one another. Everyone here is deeply invested in the company and in each other, and that naturally carries over into how we care for our clients. We think of our clients as an extension of our family, and we show up for them the same way we do for each other.

Q: How do you balance work and life outside the office?

Ellie: I’m a full-time working parent of three young kids, so balance can be tricky. I try to be fully present wherever I am, whether I’m at home or in the office. I don’t miss the important stuff. I’m at the school events, the sporting games, everything. I also work from home two days a week, which makes it easier to stay connected at home. And honestly, I rely on coffee, a solid calendar, and a lot of support from my husband. It’s a team effort, but we make it work.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about this stage of life?

Ellie: I really love this season. Having young kids and being young myself keeps life fun, busy, and full of energy. I get to see the world through their eyes, and it’s a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. We spend a lot of time laughing, being silly, and just making everyday memories that I know will stick with us forever. It’s not always easy, but it’s such a joyful time and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
